These charts contain all sorts of different information, such as depths, hazards, tide information, and land formations. Shipping Shipping done through naval sources accounts for a large portion of the entire world's economy, with nearly 90% of all international trade of goods and merchandise being done through naval shipping. In the United States, the Merchant Marines are the collection of all civilians involved in the shipping industry.
